B-CC Boys Soccer defeats Einstein 2-0 Thursday night to give the Barons their fifth win of the season. The Barons opened up the scoring early in the first minute on a great finish by Senior forward, Kande Mande. Later in the first half, Senior forward Ethan Tiao added another goal on an amazing individual effort to make it 2-0.
That would be all the scoring for the game, however, the rest of the game was not without its chances, including an incredible header off of a corner kick from Junior center back Jack Lavorel which was only outdone by a fantastic save from the Einstein keeper. The opposing goalie additionally had a great save off an Ethan Tiao penalty kick in the second half. While Einstein did not have as many chances as the Barons in the game, Sophomore goalie Nate Van Zoeren, had an effective performance with a few impactful saves resulting in the Baron's first clean sheet at home.
With the win, the Barons continue their amazing form in the second half of the season, going undefeated in the last six games with only one tie to Churchill. The Barons now have a record of 5-1-4 with only two games remaining: a 7:15 game, next Tuesday at Sherwood and a 5:15 game that Thursday where the boys will have their senior night hosting Damascus for the final game of the season.
They hope to finish off their strong second half of the season and stay hot going into the playoffs.
